Change Management

Change Management encompasses a wide range of topics and is applicable to various types of organizational transformations.

The primary drivers of change typically include technological advancements, process evaluations, crises, shifts in consumer habits, competition from new market players, acquisitions, mergers, and organizational restructuring. What ties them all together is their impact on individuals and their established mindsets. These changes disrupt the status quo—the way things are typically done—and push people beyond their comfort zones.

We firmly believe that organizational changes must begin by addressing the human aspect. Hence, we refer to our collective knowledge as the Human Change Management Body of Knowledge. We recognize that genuine organizational change is achieved through embracing and influencing human change.

Effective change management involves humanizing the process. It entails designing and managing transformative initiatives with a focus on the individuals involved, aiming to minimize the resistance that naturally arises from such changes.

HCMBOK®

The HCMBOK®—Human Change Management Body of Knowledge—is the knowledge base of the HUCMI. It encompasses methodologies, tools, and best practices, with the objective of establishing a connection between the Organizational Change Management framework and the phases and typical management activities of projects across various domains.

As an icon of the third generation of change management, the HCMBOK serves as an objective and practical guide. It has been developed to be mastered and applied by professionals from all areas, extending beyond the realm of change management experts.

Our approach relies on strategic planning for change management within programs or projects, as well as the establishment of the CMO (Change Management Office). This organizational entity is responsible for overseeing all changes, starting from the initial stages of organizational strategic planning.
