WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION

We consider personal information to be: (1) any data relating to you entered directly through registration, certification application, submission of cases, articles, suggestions, among others, by any means; (2) browsing data collected on the HUCMI websites; or (3) data collected through the use of HUCMI-related products and services.

HOW WE COLLECT AND USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

You may be asked to provide your personal information at any time when contacting HUCMI. HUCMI may share and use this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

This information may be submitted directly by you during registrations, case submissions, article submissions, emails, or other forms of contact with HUCMI, as well as through technological resources when using features of any HUCMI website or tools, such as browser identification, use of cookies, or any other features necessary to improve our products and services.

WHY WE NEED PERSONAL INFORMATION AND HOW WE USE IT

Personal information is required to record your data, manage training and evolution in the certification process, issue certificates, conduct audits and research, publish articles and cases, contact you for research purposes, promote and offer products and services, work tools, events, and news, as well as other processes that may be created in the future.

Some information from HUCMI-certified individuals, such as certificate numbers, names, and dates of certification, may be displayed on the HUCMI website.

WITH WHOM WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION

HUCMI does not sell, rent, or trade personal information without your permission. Your information will be shared with HUCMI Training Centers and business partners for the specific purpose of organizing training and events, in accordance with this policy and confidentiality agreements. Your information may also be shared with third parties for legal reasons when required by law.

HUCMI CONTACTS WITH YOU AND UPDATING YOUR DATA

HUCMI respects Anti-Spam policies and requests your permission to send emails upon completing your registration. You can change your permission to receive information from HUCMI at any time by updating your registration information on the HuCMI website.

HUCMI wants to keep your registration information up to date. To do so, you should update your information as needed on HUCMI.com. If you have difficulty updating your registration, please contact us and we will assist you.

INFORMATION SECURITY

HUCMI takes precautions, including administrative, technical, and physical measures, to protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

HUCMI Internet systems use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is obtained. To access these services, you need to use an SSL-enabled browser such as Chrome,  Edge and Safari. By doing so, you will protect the confidentiality of your personal information transmitted over the Internet.

When using certain HUCMI products, services, applications, or posting content to a HUCMI forum, chat room, or social networking service, the personal data you share is visible to other users and can be read, retrieved, and used by them. You are responsible for the personal information you submit through the HUCMI website. For example, if you post your name and email address in a forum, this information will be public. So, be very careful when using these tools.

Your access to the HUCMI website and tools is protected by your own username and password. We recommend that you do not use your email address as a login, but rather a unique word not known to others. HUCMI will never ask for your login or password through emails, phone calls, or any means other than accessing the site. Your password is your security, and you must keep it confidential. Never share your login or password with anyone.

You should also ensure that others do not have access to your personal information when using HUCMI sites, especially if you are using a computer or any other shared access device. Data transmitted via the Internet cannot be guaranteed 100% secure. However, when we request personal data, we do our best to ensure the security of the information on our systems.

TECHNOLOGICAL FEATURES FOR INFORMATION CAPTURE

The HUCMI website, online services, and interactive applications, such as email messages and advertising materials, use cookies and other technologies, such as pixel tags and web beacons. These technologies help us better understand user behavior, identify important sections of our site, and facilitate advertising and web searches. We treat this information, collected through cookies and other means, as non-personal information. However, to the extent that an Internet Protocol (IP) address is identifiable, we treat it as personal information. Similarly, to the extent that information is not personally associated with personal information, we treat the combined information as personal information within the context of this Privacy Policy. If you wish, you can select cookies to view instructions from your browser manufacturer on how to block cookies. However, some tools on the HuCMI website may not be available when cookies are blocked.

As with most websites, we automatically obtain and store certain information in log files. This information includes IP addresses, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), entry and exit pages, operating system, date and time information, and clickstream data. We use this information to understand and analyze trends, administer the site, learn about user behavior on the site, and obtain demographic information about our user base in general. HUCMI may use this information for marketing and advertising purposes.

In some of our email messages, we use “click-through URLs” linked to the content of the HUCMI website. When customers click on these URLs, they are sent to a different web server before reaching the landing page on our site. We monitor this click-through data to understand interest in certain topics and evaluate the effectiveness of our communications with customers. If you prefer not to be monitored in this way, do not click on text or image links in email messages.

Pixel tags allow us to send email messages in formats that customers can read and inform us whether the email has been opened or not. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to customers.

HUCMI ensures that the use of cookies does not give us access to your computer or any personal information about you, but only browsing information on HUCMI sites or tools.

The HuCMI site contains links to other sites. By clicking on these links, you will be directed to sites whose services, products, privacy policies, and terms of use are not guaranteed by HUCMI. OTHER

HUCMI may be required by law, legal processes, disputes, and/or determinations by public or governmental authorities within or outside the country in which you reside to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose information about you if we believe that such disclosure is necessary for national security, legal requirements, matters of public importance, or when disclosure is necessary or appropriate.

We may also disclose information about you if we believe that the disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or to protect our operations or users. Additionally, in the event of a restructuring, merger, or sale, we may transfer any personal information we have obtained to the relevant third party.

UNDER 21

We do not knowingly obtain personal information from individuals under 21 years of age. If we become aware that we have obtained personal information from someone under the age of 21, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.
